Hi, I’m Ashley Hales.
I’m an author, speaker, PhD, mother to 4, and pastor’s wife
in the southern California suburbs.
I love the grace of a good sentence, family dance parties, and most of all, connecting big ideas to our everyday lives. Our family of 6 traded a life of living overseas and in big cities to start a church, Resurrection OC, in the suburbs.
In October 2018, my first book, Finding Holy in the Suburbs: Living Faithfully in the Land of Too Much, released! It's a book about how our places form our loves and how being a good neighbor really can change the world. You can purchase it now.
In efforts to make this writing life collaborative, I’ve started a new podcast, The Finding Holy Podcast! It's where I sit down with thinkers, pastors, writers, and activits to help connect the dots between what we believe and our ordinary lives. Consider it a dose of wisdom to take with you through your week. Listen on iTunes or your favorite podcast app.
Besides writing, I also enjoy speaking (retreats, lectures, church groups), and copywriting, editing and coaching. Contact me if you’d like to work with me for your next event.
