Hi, I’m Ashley Hales.

I’m an author, speaker, PhD, mother to 4, and pastor’s wife

in the southern California suburbs.

Hales Family

I love the grace of a good sentence, family dance parties, and most of all, connecting big ideas to our everyday lives. Our family of 6 traded a life of living overseas and in big cities to start a church, Resurrection OC, in the suburbs.

In October 2018, my first book, Finding Holy in the Suburbs: Living Faithfully in the Land of Too Much, releases! It's a book about how our places form our loves and how being a good neighbor really can change the world. You can pre-order it now.

Also coming this fall is a new podcast, Finding Holy! It's where I sit down with people to help connect the dots between who we are and what we believe.

Besides writing, I also enjoy speaking (retreats, lectures, church groups), and copywriting, editing and coaching.
